Who are we?

Happipad is a social enterprise that believes companion housing is an important part of the solution for problems related to housing affordability and social isolation. Founded in Kelowna B.C. by a student-professor team from UBC, Happipad is a Canadian leader in developing modern companion housing solutions and technologies.

What do we do?

We make it safe and simple to find a compatible person to live with in a companion housing arrangement.  We are actively involved in the research, development, and implementation of companion housings programs across Canada. We partner with community and senior-serving organizations to deliver sustainable companion housing opportunities for people of all generations.

Why do we do it?

We are inspired by the magical effect that companion housing can have on people. When people share a home, they become more empathetic, they help each other, and they connect. When done right, we believe that companion housing can address some of our most pressing social and economic challenges.
